Anti-dumping tariffs applied on certain Chinese wood products

Vũ Khuê -

Tariffs under five-year Decision range from 21.4 to 35.2%.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has decided to impose official anti-dumping tariffs on certain table and chair products from China, according to the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam.

Under Decision No. 235/QD-BCT, tariffs imposed on the Chinese products will range from 21.4 to 35.2 per cent.

The Decision took effect from February 13 and will be effective for five years.

Earlier, investigations found that table and chair imports from China have increased significantly compared to both domestic consumption and production, causing damage to domestic production.

The ministry also decided to end anti-dumping investigations into certain table and chair products from Malaysia, saying the volume is insufficient, at below 3 per cent.
