Binh Dinh to develop 3,000-ha coastal urban area

Urban area in south-central province expected to house 25,000 people by 2030 and 40,000 by 2040.

The Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee has approved general planning for the Cat Khanh urban area in the south-central province’s Phu Cat district. On more than 3,000 ha, the urban area covers the entire administrative boundary of Cat Khanh commune.

As part of a master plan to develop Phu Cat district by 2040 with a vision to 2050, it will become a coastal urban area designed for urban-tourism development and commercial services associated with coastal residential communities.

It is projected that the urban area will house 25,000 people by 2030 and 40,000 by 2040.

The Cat Khanh urban area will develop along the Dao River, which is regarded as its green space.

Priority will be given to the development of commercial and tourism services and green community spaces on the eastern coastal road, and the development of residential areas, commercial services, and social infrastructure on the western coastal road.
