Binh Duong accelerates construction of high-tech IP to welcome semiconductor investors

Southern Binh Duong province is carrying out steps to build a concentrated information technology zone and a high-tech industrial park, covering 220 ha, to be ready to welcome high-tech and semiconductor investors, according to local authorities.

The authorities held a working session with foreign experts about the semiconductor industry on October 9.

Participants discussed opportunities, challenges and orientations in developing the semiconductor industry in the locality.

With the establishment of the concentrated IT zone and the high-tech IP, associated with the province’s envision to become an innovation center of the key southern economic zone, Binh Duong has potential to become an ideal investment destination for high-tech enterprises.

Under the province’s master plan for 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050, the semiconductor industry is one of key orientations that Binh Duong will focus on, according to Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.

The province is promoting training of engineers for high-tech industries and building policies to attract high-quality human resources.

The provincial authorities committed to create a transparent investment environment, complete infrastructure, simplify administrative procedures and develop support policies to meet development demand of high-tech industries.

Binh Duong has so far attracted 4,347 projects from 65 countries and territories with a total registered capital of $42 billion.
