Binh Duong approves $532 mln urban area

The People’s Committee of southern Binh Duong province has approved the investment policy of a project building an urban area in Ben Cat city.

The Dong An Tay urban area will cover 288.84 ha and feature 7,100 houses with a population of some 14,300.

The project demands an estimated investment capital of more than VND13.56 trillion ($532 million).

The project is one among 10 urban areas to be built along the section of Ho Chi Minh City's projected Ring Road No.4, which runs through the province.

Earlier this month, the provincial People’s Committee gave the nod to an area for urban development along the section of the Ring Road No.4.

The area, covering 2,700 ha in Ben Cat city, will accommodate 10 urban areas and four ports.
