Boeing will further expand its cooperation and investment in Vietnam according to Vice President of the Boeing Company and President of Boeing International Brendan Nelson.

Speaking during a meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on May 12 in Hanoi, Mr. Nelson said Vietnam holds an important position in Boeing’s business strategy.

Prime Minister Chinh called on Boeing to offer incentives to Vietnam and spoke highly of the US aerospace company’s plans for long-term cooperation in the country and the opening of a representative office in Hanoi.

Vietnam regards Boeing as an important, long-term partner in the development of the domestic civil aviation industry, he said.

He proposed that it continue its support to Vietnamese airlines in devising fleet development plans in both the short and long-terms and its assistance in aviation safety and flight and airport management, among other relevant fields.

Boeing opened its new permanent office in Hanoi on May 12, which will serve as a hub for cooperation to support its business priorities in Vietnam.
