The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) has announced that a main contractor has been chosen via bidding to build and install equipment at the T3 passenger terminal at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.

The contractor is a consortium of six companies: the Hanoi Construction Joint Stock Company (Hancorp), the Construction Corporation No. 1 (CC1), Corporation 319 at the Ministry of Defense, the Truong Son Construction Corporation, the Ricons Construction Investment JSC, and the Luu Nguyen Construction Ltd. Co.

Total investment for the package is estimated at over VND9 trillion ($378 million).

Implementation is scheduled to take 600 days, starting from when the CAV hands over clean ground.

The terminal is expected to be put into operation in 2025.

Construction consists of three main components, including a passenger terminal, a multi-story car park with non-aviation services, and an aircraft apron in front of the terminal. Total investment is estimated at VND10.99 trillion ($461 million).

The T3 terminal is designed to have a basement level and four levels above-ground, covering an area of 112,500 sq m. It is expected to handle 20 million passengers annually.
