Businesses, localities honored for implementing the 4.0 Industrial Revolution

The I4.0 Awards 2024 ceremony was held on September 27 in Hanoi, honoring 24 businesses and six localities which had many initiatives, solutions and technologies to be applied in production and life.

The awards ceremony was held by the Viet Nam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), the Viet Nam Automation Association and the Institute of Digital Transformation and Innovation.

The businesses were awafor their digital products and services while the localities for their typical success in actively implementing the 4.0 Industrial Revolution and the national digital transformation program.

The Award has been initiated with the aim of honoring and recognizing businesses and localities nationwide for their typical and pioneering successes in applying technologies resulting from the 4.0 Industrial Revolution and in implementing the national digital transformation program. 

It is also aimed at promoting the application of information technology, digital technology, digital transformation and innovation to help improve businesses’ competitiveness as well as create a playing field for enterprises to  share experience in building smart factories, smart production, scientific and technological research and innovation to boost productivity, product quality and business administration capacity.

Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Chu Xuan Dung, Chairman of the VUSTA, said the event marked outstanding achievements of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution in Vietnam.

He noted that the Party and State have paid special attention to promoting Vietnam’s active participation in the 4.0 Industrial Revolution. The Prime Minister approved the national digital transformation program by 2025 with a vision towards 2030, which set a target of developing Vietnam into a digital nation.

Amid the context when the whole world is changing rapidly, Vietnam has become not only an attractive investment destination for investors but also an innovative center with many businesses pioneering in applying new technologies, the VUSTA chairman said.
