The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has announced the temporary closure of Ca Mau Airport (in the southermost province of the same name) from 7:00 am on October 30, 2025, to 11:59 pm on October 31, 2026, to implement a major expansion and upgrade project, according to a report from the Vietnam News Agency.
The project, invested by Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), will include construction of a new runway, taxiways, a southern aircraft apron, expansion of the passenger terminal, and related auxiliary works.
Once completed, the airport will be able to handle Airbus A320/A321 aircraft and equivalents.
