Central Retail Vietnam has signed an agreement with northern Son La province to promote the consumption of agricultural products in its retail network at the Opening of the Week of Plums and safe agricultural products of Son La province and other cities and provinces in 2023, held on June 1 in Hanoi.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Son La Provincial People’s Committee, said this is an important event and a good opportunity to put safe agricultural products from the province on the market in Hanoi and elsewhere, thereby connecting with domestic and export markets, creating breakthroughs in production, improving product quality, building brands, promoting the consumption of agricultural products, and improving people’s incomes and living standards.
In carrying out the task of developing agriculture and rural areas in 2023, he went on, Son La province focuses on drastically restructuring the industry in the direction of increasing added value and developing sustainably in association with innovating the growth model; strive for total products in the agriculture, forestry, and fishery sector in the province during 2023 to increase by 5 per cent compared to 2022; develop high-tech agriculture and organic agriculture on a large scale; and widely apply mechanization in production.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Van, Head of PR & Communications at Central Retail Vietnam, said products from Son La province are very popular with customers at its retail network, like GO!, Big C, and Tops Market, and are highly regarded for their good product quality, meeting food safety certification standards and VietGAP, GolbalGAP, and Organic standards.
Central Retail Vietnam also signed agreements with other cities, provinces, businesses, and cooperatives to promote the consumption of agricultural products.
