CIEM positive on GDP growth

Given the economic backdrop in the first half of the year, the Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) has forecast that GDP growth in 2022 will exceed the set target and come in at between 6.7 and 6.9 per cent, with inflation at 3.7 to 4 per cent. It also touched on five factors affecting GDP growth, including an inability to diversify export markets and take advantage of opportunities from FTAs.
