Circular economy forum looking to build national action plan

November 16 gathering includes one general session and three specialized sessions on promoting a circular economy in Vietnam.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is hosting the Vietnam Circular Economy Forum 2023 on November 16, with the theme “Developing a national action plan to implement a circular economy”.

Held both online and in-person, the gathering will see the attendance of government leaders and representatives from international organizations, universities, research institutes, and businesses, as well as leading experts in the circular economy.

Discussions will focus on a draft national action plan for the circular economy and the implementation roadmap.

It offers participants the opportunity to speak about suitable approaches and financial mechanisms to accelerate the circular economy in sectors and areas from the central to local levels, to ensure the realization of Vietnam’s international commitments to climate change mitigation, the preservation of natural resources and biodiversity, and reducing environmental pollution.

The Vietnam Circular Economy Forum 2023 consists of one general session and three specialized sessions discussing solutions to promote the circular economy in Vietnam.

Within its framework, there will be 20 booths displaying models and solutions promoting the circular economy towards environmental protection and sustainability.
