Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam Limited on July 11 inaugurated its new factory in the Phu An Thanh Industrial Park, located in Ben Luc, Tay Ninh province, with an investment capital of $136 million.
Spanning a total area of 19 ha, the Tay Ninh facility is now the largest among Coca-Cola's three manufacturing plants in Vietnam.
Speaking at the event, Vice Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Tam, commended Coca-Cola's decision to build its largest and most modern factory in Tay Ninh. He described the project not only as a strategic move but also as "a symbol of the connection and cooperation between Vietnam and international enterprises".
Mr. Tam added that Vietnam hopes Coca-Cola will continue to solidify its position as an exemplary FDI enterprise, pioneering innovation, green and digital transformation, thus making a contribution to achieving Vietnam's net-zero emissions target by 2050. The Government also encouraged the company to further develop the local business ecosystem by prioritizing partnerships with Vietnamese suppliers, the deputy minister said.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Ut, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the presence of the Coca-Cola factory is a clear testament to the province's appeal and potential in its strategy to attract selective foreign investment, with a priority on high-tech and environmentally friendly projects.
"Tay Ninh has always identified businesses as the central driving force for development," he said. "With a spirit of 'standing side by side with investors,' the province is committed to further streamlining administrative procedures and increasing investment in transportation and logistics infrastructure to create effective inter-regional connectivity. We will also continue to build a transparent, safe, and open investment environment for both domestic and foreign enterprises."
