A ground-breaking ceremony on the construction of a new cargo terminal is organised at the Da Nang International Airport.

Construction of a new cargo terminal at Da Nang International Airport in central Da Nang city commenced on August 30, with a designed annual capacity of 100,000 tons by 2030.

Covering an area of more than 24,600 sq.m, the project includes a  cargo terminal spanning more than 14,200 sq.m and a staging area and parking lot on an area of more than 10,400 sq.m.

The terminal is being developed by the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) with a total investment of over VND 631 billion ($24 million). It forms part of a broader plan to upgrade and expand airport infrastructure during the 2025–26 period.

According to ACV, the new facility is scheduled to become operational in the fourth quarter of 2026.
