Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked authorities of central Da Nang city, relevant agencies and investors to strive to complete construction of infrastructure for Lien Chieu port and a coastal road leading to the port before August 30, 2025.

The PM made the request while examining the construction site on September 1 as part of his working visit to the central city.

Construction of infrastructure for Lien Chieu port started in late 2022 with an estimated investment capital of VND3.426 trillion ($136 million). Some 67% of the construction work has been completed, basically meeting the schedule needs, according to the investor.

Meanwhile, construction of coastal road kicked off last September. Stretching 3 km and with six lanes, the project has total investment capital of VND1.2 trillion ($40 million).

On the same day, PM Chinh also examined the sea encroachment project for a 420-ha free trade area along Nguyen Tat Thanh street, Thanh Khe district; the 11-km Hoa Lien – Tuy Loan highway in Hoa Vang district, part of the North-South Expressway, and the interchange connecting the Da Nang – Quang Ngai highway, Hoa Lien – Tuy Loan highway and National Highway 14B in Hoa Vang district.
