Central Da Nang city plans to build a master plan on semiconductor chips with the aim of joining the global semiconductor production chain.

At a meeting on December 26 to discuss the master plan, provincial authorities and relevant agencies considered the establishment of a research and training center for circuit design and AI as well as policies and incentives to support scientists and experts to take part in the building of the master plan.

The city will give priority to human resources training, which is considered a decisive factor in the design and testing stages of the semiconductor value chain, according to local authorities.

On December 25, the city’s People’s Committee decided to set up a taskforce and a consultant group to implement the master plan.
