Deputy PM approves master planning for Bien Hoa

Ban Mai -

City expected to develop into a growth pole of the southern region.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has signed a decision approving adjustments to the master planning for Bien Hoa city in southern Dong Nai province to 2045, which sets a target of developing the city into one of the growth poles of the southern region and the key southern economic zone.

The plan aims to maximize the strength of regional and international links in trade, commerce, logistics, high-tech industry, and innovation.

Bien Hoa is an important transport point in the southern region, with connections to the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway and Ring Road No. 3 linking Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai.

By 2030, it is to have a total population of 1.5-1.6 million and an urban area of 20,000-21,000 ha.

It has set a target of posting growth of 20-25 per cent annually in the logistics sector, which will contribute 10-15 per cent to annual provincial GRDP.

There are currently 31 industrial parks in the city.
