Deputy PM seeks faster construction of Hanoi’s Ring Road 4

Anh Tú -

Project began in 2022 and is expected to be completed in 2026 but progress is slow.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has asked relevant agencies to speed up site clearance work, not divide sub-projects into even smaller components, and not increase investment capital in the Ring Road No. 4 project in the Hanoi Capital Region.

He called on authorities of localities the road passes through to ensure the transfer of 70 per cent of land for construction before June 30 and all land before December 31.

The ring road is some 112.8 km in length, with around 58.2 km in Hanoi, nearly 19.3 km in Hung Yen province, and some 35.3 km in Bac Ninh province.

Total investment stands at over VND85.8 trillion ($3.7 billion), more than VND28.1 trillion ($1.19 billion) of which will come from the State budget, over VND28.19 trillion ($1.2 billion) from local budgets, and the remainder from the build-operate-transfer (BOT) venture.

Construction began 2022 and is slated to be basically completed in 2026 and the road put into operation in 2027.
