After five years of implementation, the National Technology Innovation Fund has received over 1,000 technological innovation ideas from businesses. After adopting technological innovation, annual revenue at enterprises has increased by VND4 trillion ($175.448 million).

The Lifestyle Vietnam Virtual Fair 2020 is being held from December 6 to 12 with the participation of nearly 300 Vietnamese businesses and is the first specialization trade fair in the world to apply augmented reality technology. Nearly 500 international customers conducted transactions on the first day.

Though production activities have been restored and Vietnam’s economy is gradually moving towards the “new normal”, ETF capital inflows saw a net withdrawal in November of VND255 billion ($11 million) and active funds VND63 billion ($2.7 million).

Tech unicorn VNG is currently considering raising capital of $200-300 million prior to listing on the stock exchange in the US, through a special-purpose acquisition company (SPAC). The company targets posting revenue of $330 million this year, up 26 per cent compared to 2020.

The revised Law on Electronic Transactions will be submitted to the National Assembly (NA) at its next session, which is aimed at overcoming obstacles and inadequacies in implementation. This will also help promulgate new and appropriate policies; promote reliable, safe electronic transactions in line with international practices, to implement the digital transformation process faster and more effectively; and develop digital government, the digital economy, and digital society.

Not only businesses but also ministries and agencies are quickly joining the digital transformation wave in transportation and logistics. The Ministry of Transport will soon create a national database on transport infrastructure, vehicles, vehicle drivers, and enterprises in the field of transportation.
