The Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway project in southern Dong Nai province has issued a tender invitation for investor selection, with the bidding process set to commence on January 7, 2025.
The project's total investment is estimated at nearly VND9 trillion (approximately $353 million), including nearly VND7.7 trillion (over $302 million) from investor funding and about VND1.3 trillion (over $51 million) from the Government.
The toll collection period for capital recovery is projected to be 18 years, 2 months, and 11 days.
Spanning over 60 km, the projected expressway runs from Thong Nhat district to Tan Phu district.
The project is slated for substantial completion by 2026, with full operational status expected in 2027.
As a vital segment of the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong Expressway, the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway aims to address transportation demands, alleviate traffic congestion, and enhance transport safety on National Highway 20. It will further enhance transport capacity and connectivity on the Ho Chi Minh City - Dau Giay - Lien Khuong transport corridor, thus driving socio-economic development in Dong Nai province and the broader Southeast region, which consists of Ho Chi Minh City and provinces of Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Tay Ninh.
Moreover, this project will boost connectivity, fostering cooperation and development between the Southeast region, the Mekong Delta, the Central Highlands, and the South Central Coast. It also helps enhancing the local economy's competitiveness in the context of deep integration.
