East-West Ecomomic Corridor Trade, Tourism, Investment Fair opens in Da Nang

The International East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Trade, Tourism, and Investment Fair - Da Nang 2024 (EWEC Da Nang 2024) opened in central Da Nang city on August 2.

It features 300 booths by more than 150 local firms from 31 localities and 29 booths of foreign enterprises from nine countries and territories, including Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Russia, the Republic of Korea, China, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The annual event, running through August 6, is showcasing an array of electronics, technological equipment, furniture interior décor, handicrafts, gifts, food and beverages, textiles, fashion items, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and tourism services, as well as products in the logistics, education, and health care industries.

The event is aimed at introducing socio-economic achievements and promoting potential in trade, investment and tourism of localities in the central and Central Highlands regions as well as localities along the East-West Economic Corridor, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, said at the opening ceremony.

It would serve as an effective bridge and important trade promotion channel to help businesses reach customers, boost trade exchanges and seek business opportunities, he said.

It is also expected to help strengthen trade cooperation between Vietnam and neighboring countries and those along the East-West Economic Corridor, he said.
