Enterprises in northern localities need to employ thousands of workers in electronics and garments and textiles, according to the Hanoi Employment Service Center.

At an online job transaction session held jointly on September 28 by employment service centers in Hanoi, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, and Ha Nam, 121 businesses offered 15,578 positions.

Recruitment in the field of electronics saw the highest number of positions available, with 4,520. Other sectors need to fill around 1,000 positions.

Cities and provinces with high recruitment demand were Ninh Binh, with 3,840 positions, Bac Giang with 3,273, Bac Ninh with 2,930, and Hai Phong with 1,478.

Of the total, unskilled workers remain the most sought after, with 7,034 positions available, followed by workers with college or university degrees or higher, with 4,854 positions, and workers with intermediate qualifications and technical workers.

Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center Vu Quang Thanh said the job transaction session was held to help businesses recruit qualified workers to meet their production and trade needs while also helping workers find employment.
