Export revenue of garment and textile hits $21.8 bln in H1

The sector sets export value target of $46-47 billion for 2025.

Vietnam’s export revenue of garment and textile products in the first six months of 2025 reached $21.8 billion, a year-on-year increase of 10.6%, according to the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS).

Meanwhile, the sector’s import turnover is estimated at $12.7 billion, up 9.3% year-on-year, and resulting in a trade surplus of $9.1 billion.

The sector targets an annual export value of $46-47 billion.

In order to fulfill the target, the sector has mapped out some solutions, including human resources training, application of information technology in design and production, diversify export markets, enhance FDI attraction, and develop material sources, according to Mr. Truong Van Cam, Vice Chairman of VITAS.
