The Hanoi People’s Committee opened a flyover connecting Chua Boc and Pham Ngoc Thach streets in Dong Da district on June 30 after 18 months of construction.

Total investment in the road infrastructure project is estimated at VND147 billion ($6.2 million), sourced from the city’s budget.

The C-shared flyover has two lanes for cars and motorbikes, with a total length of 318 meters and a width of 9 meters.

It is expected to help ease traffic congestion, which is common at the Chua Boc - Pham Ngoc Thach - Ton That Tung - Dong Tac intersection.

The flyover was scheduled to open to traffic in June 2022, but construction was delayed due to Covid-19 and obstacles in removing underground technical infrastructure.
