Shunsin Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Taiwanese giant Foxconn, will invest $80 million in chip manufacturing in northern Bac Giang province.
The project will cover 4.4 ha in Quang Chau Industrial Park.
The facility is being designed to manufacture electronic components, specifically integrated circuit boards, with a production capacity of 4.5 million units per year. All products will be exported to the US, EU and Japan.
The company plans to complete administrative procedures, including construction approval, by December, followed by facility construction and equipment installation through May 2026.
The project is expected to start trial production in June 2026 and to be fully operational by December 2026.
In July this year, Foxconn Group, a supplier to Apple, invested $550 million in two new projects in northern Quang Ninh province.
