The FPT Corporation has announced its business results for the first nine months of 2021, in which revenue maintained positive growth momentum from the technology and telecommunications segments.

It posted revenue of VND24.95 trillion ($1.09 billion) in the period and pre-tax profits of VND4.57 trillion ($200.91 million), increases of 17.9 per cent and 20 per cent year-on-year, respectively.

In the technology segment, it recorded VND14.3 trillion ($628.53 million) in revenue and VND2.09 trillion ($92.15 million) in pre-tax profits, up 22.1 per cent and 30.4 per cent. Revenue from digital transformation rose 59.6 per cent, focusing on digital technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and low code, etc.

The corporation increased its revenue in all foreign markets in which it operates during the period, especially in the US and Europe. It also continually received major orders, including for 16 projects with a scale of over $5 million each. In the domestic market, IT services recorded VND3.88 trillion ($170.58 million) in revenue, up 32.3 per cent year-on-year.

In telecommunications, it posted VND9.23 trillion ($405.87 million) in revenue and VND1.78 trillion ($78.21 million) in pre-tax profits, up 11 per cent and 21.9 per cent year-on-year, respectively. Rising profits from the TV segment, along with the postponement of investment in infrastructure before the pandemic, helped the pre-tax profit in the telecommunications services segment continue to improve.
