Trillions of VND in economic violations and thousands of hectares of land violations were uncovered during inspections in the first nine months of this year, according to the Government Inspectorate.
It conducted more than 7,100 administrative inspections and about 146,890 specialized inspections last year.
More than VND198.6 trillion ($8.27 billion) in economic violations and over 496 ha of land violations were uncovered.
Inspectors proposed revoking over VND155.5 trillion ($6.48 billion) and 56 ha of land and handling the remaining VND43.1 trillion ($1.79 billion) and 439 ha of land.
They also proposed administrative punishments on more than 1,290 organizations and 4,732 individuals, and have transferred dossiers to the investigation agency to handle 279 other cases.
The Government Inspectorate said it will enhance inspections and audits over the remaining months of the year, focusing on major investment projects from State-owned corporations, land management and use, investment in the form of build-transfer and build-operate-transfer, and the equitization, divestment, and restructuring of State-owned enterprises.
