Ho Chi Minh City is hosting the "GRECO 2024" exhibition, a platform for businesses to promote green growth products and services and raise public awareness of sustainability, the Voice of Vietnam has reported.

Running from September 21-25, GRECO 2024 features over 200 businesses showcasing nearly 8,000 products and services. In addition to exhibits, the event includes performances showcasing green and sustainable technology models, solutions, and new R&D products.

With a focus on the hi-tech industry, GRECO 2024 supports Industry 4.0 achievements and offers businesses opportunities to showcase their latest products and technologies in fields like hi-tech, integrated circuits, and artificial intelligence.

Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Mr. Vo Van Hoan, emphasized the event's role in facilitating connections between small and medium-sized enterprises and leading businesses, both domestically and internationally. This fosters the development of a green production ecosystem and raises community awareness of the circular economy.

Mr. Hoan stated that businesses can efficiently exploit and utilize natural resources and energy through digital technology to enhance their capacity while reducing environmental impacts. He added that the city will support businesses in promoting green growth-based products and services to drive the transition to green and circular production models.

Ho Chi Minh City has issued a plan to implement the Strategy for Green Growth towards Sustainability by 2030, aiming to transform the city into a green, smart, and sustainable urban area.
