Northern mountainous Ha Giang province has set a target of promoting green and sustainable growth and posting average annual economic growth of over 8 per cent in the 2021-2030 period.

This forms part of targets set in the provincial master plan for 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050, which was recently announced by local authorities.

Under the plan, Ha Giang will strive to develop a green economy on the basis of boosting digital transformation and applying science and technology and innovation to improve workplace productivity, quality, and efficiency as well as competitiveness.

The plan will create new potential, new growth drivers, and new values, including orientations for developing a border economy and border trade, promoting professional, green, efficient, and sustainable tourism, developing agriculture following high-quality product value chains, and boosting high-tech industry.
