Ha Tinh province ranked third in the north-central region in GRDP growth in the first half of this year, with an estimated 5.02 per cent year-on-year, figures from the province’s Statistics Office show.
The agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector contributed 8.14 per cent to GRDP while the industry and construction sector contributed 32.46 per cent and the services sector 49.59 per cent.
Total retail sales of goods and services during the six-month period reached over VND34.2 trillion ($1.44 billion), a year-on-year increase of more than 18 per cent.
The province earned over $1.3 billion from exports, up 39.07 per cent compared to the same period last year. Of this, steel exports earned revenue of more than $1.23 billion, accounting for 92.67 per cent.
As of June 15, the province granted licenses to 554 new businesses with total registered capital of nearly VND2.2 trillion ($93 million).
