Authorities in northern Hai Phong city kicked off construction of a new political-administrative center costing more than VND2.5 trillion ($107 million) on January 7.
The political-administrative center, together with a traffic system and technical infrastructure, sits on an area of nearly 14 ha in the North Cam River Urban Area.
It will have modern traffic, water supply and drainage, energy, urban lighting, and communications systems.
Construction is expected to be completed in 2025.
This is a key major project of the northern port city in 2023 and also the first work in the new urban area to the north of the Cam River, which boasts modern architecture to attract businesses to invest in the surrounding area, according to the Chairman of the Hai Phong City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tung.
He emphasized that the project is an important event marking the efforts of the Party Committee, government, and people of the city in implementing Politburo Resolution No. 45 on the construction and development of Hai Phong city to 2030 and vision to 2045.
