Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh has signed a decision approving investment in Sub-project No. 3 of Ring Road No. 4 in the Hanoi capital region.
One part of the sub-project will use State and city budget funds while the other will be conducted under the public-private partnership (PPP) model.
Sub-project No. 3 has total investment of more than VND56.2 trillion ($2.34 billion) and is one of seven sub-projects within the Ring Road No. 4 project.
In the initial period, the link will have four lanes with a roadbed width of 17 meters, allowing a maximum speed of 100 kph. It will have six lanes upon full completion.
Contractors will be selected via public bidding in 2024.
Ring Road No. 4 has a total length of 112.8 km and covers a combined 1,341 ha. Its total cost is estimated at over VND85.8 trillion ($3.6 billion).
The project is scheduled for completion by 2026 and to open to traffic by 2027.
It will help connect Hanoi with Hung Yen, Bac Ninh and other localities in the region.
