HCM City promotes startups in high-tech agriculture

Ho Chi Minh City will organize a startup and innovation competition in the field of high-tech agriculture for the 2025-2030 period with the aim of promoting and supporting creative and innovative startup activities to develop the city’s startup ecosystem.

The project is also aimed at implementing socio-economic development cooperation between the city and other localities.

The project encourages the use of advanced and new technology applied in Vietnam or technology that has been improved and innovated to suit Vietnamese conditions.

It will provide financial support for the incubation of ideas and innovative startup projects in high-tech agriculture and help accelerate innovative startup projects in high-tech agriculture.

Under a target set by the municipal People’s Committee,  the high-tech agriculture will account for 75-85% of the total production value of the city's agricultural sector.
