The Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Week, with the theme “Digital data mining, successful digital transformation”, officially kicked off on October 17.
To take place on October 17 and 18, the event features a range of activities, such as the Ho Chi Minh City AI Challenge 2023, workshops on life-enhancing technologies, and displays of the city’s digital platforms, tech-based solutions and products in the financial and banking sectors, and tech solutions and applications from tech firms and startups, as well as the 7th International Scientific Students Forum 2023.
A tech exhibition with over 40 stalls will display models and platforms developed by departments and sectors in the city and technological solutions and applications in the areas of digital government, digital data, digital education, digital health, digital culture, digital tourism, digital businesses, digital banking, and fintech as well as technological initiatives and products from startups.
“Activities aim to raise awareness among people and businesses about enhanced digital transformation and its economic benefits as well as its contribution to the city’s socio-economic development,” said Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Duong Anh Duc.
“The city will continue speeding up the implementation of tasks on digital transformation, effectively carrying out the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Program and National Data Year 2023.”
Speaking at the event, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Pham Tien Dung said data and data analysis, exploitation, and connections are decisive elements in accelerating cashless payments and digital transformation in the banking sector.
