Nearly 400 domestic and foreign enterprises are showcasing their products at the Ho Chi Minh City International Exhibition of Food & Beverages 2024 (HCMC Foodex 2024), which opened on May 15.
The four-day event, themed “Interconnection of Values and Development”, features some 500 pavilions displaying food and agricultural products in raw or semi-processed forms.
It also offers an opportunity for businesses to seek consumers and establish partnerships.
The exhibition is expected to attract 18,000 visitors.
The exhibition is expected to help businesses recover production and trade and introduce the dynamic development of the food processing industry of HCM City, according to Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Van Dung.
The city will organize trade promotion activities to support enterprises to promote products and expand domestic and foreign markets, he said.
HCM City posted a total export revenue of $15.05 billion in the first four months of 2024, a year-on-year rise of 18.1%.
