The Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) will make its debut at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City from February 28 to March 1, 2024.

Jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) and the Messe Frankfurt Group from Germany, the trade fair is expected to attract some 500 domestic and international exhibitors and 35,000 visitors.

According to Ms. Wendy Wen, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt (Hong Kong (China)) Ltd., the fair is a diverse and comprehensive platform for the integrated textile supply chain.

“VIATT itself will capture the essence of Texpertise in one platform, a diverse, one-stop sourcing event for buyers across all categories, from garments, fabric, yarn and fiber to textile machinery, technical textiles and nonwovens, and everything in-between,” she added.

Vietnam has emerged as one of the three leading textile and garment exporters in the world, with annual growth of nearly 20 per cent over the past ten years, said Director General of Vietrade, Vu Ba Phu.

“As companies seek a diverse source of suppliers and Vietnam is a signatory of numerous important new-generation free trade agreements, the country’s textile and garment industry is expected to attract more investors,” he said.

By linking textile players from across Asia and Europe, VIATT 2024 will host foreign and domestic exhibitors covering multiple textile sub-sectors, including garments, apparel fabrics and accessories, yarn and fiber, digital printing, home textiles, technical textiles and nonwovens, textile processing, textile machinery, and more.
