Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Phan Van Mai has asked relevant agencies to take measures to promote administrative reform, improve the business and investment environment, and enhance competitiveness.

Agencies, sectors, and districts need to build and carry out plans to improve the departmental and district-level competitiveness index (DDCI), the Public Administration Reform Index (PAR Index), the Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI), and the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), he told a meeting on May 11 to announce the 2022 DDCI index results.

The Department of Science and Technology ranked first in the departmental sector, followed by the Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Culture and Information, and the Department of Justice.

These departments achieved high component evaluation scores in criteria such as transparency and access to information, application of information technology and digital transformation, informal costs, time cost, fair competition, business support, legal institutions, creative dynamism, and effectiveness.
