Hong Kong (China) is one of the major trading partners of Ho Chi Minh City, ranking 8th out of 117 countries and territories with direct investment in the city, the Hong Kong - Ho Chi Minh City Investment & Business Forum and Networking Dinner held in the southern city on January 12 heard.
As of the end of 2022, investors from Hong Kong (China) were operating 619 direct investment projects worth $3.23 billion in Ho Chi Minh City, accounting for 5.79 per cent of the city’s total FDI, primarily in manufacturing and processing and real estate.
The Hong Kong - Ho Chi Minh City Investment & Business Forum and Networking Dinner was an international forum co-organized by the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC), the Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union (GBA Union), the Hong Kong - Vietnam Chamber of Commerce (HKVCC) and the Investment & Trade Promotion Center of Ho Chi Minh City (ITPC).
It aimed to strengthen investment and cooperative ties between Hong Kong (China) and Vietnam, especially Ho Chi Minh City.
