A forum directly connecting Minister of Industry and Trade and President of Vietnam Farmers' Union, themed "Market connection - brand building - promoting agricultural product consumption, contributing to double-digit growth," will take place on October 1, according to a report from the Vietnam News Agency.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the forum will be co-chaired by Mr. Nguyen Hong Dien, Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Industry and Trade, and Mr. Luong Quoc Doan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union.

This event will serve as a tripartite dialogue, involving farmers, businesses, and state management agencies. It aims to address challenges in agricultural product consumption, logistics, commercial infrastructure, e-commerce, and the development of both domestic and export markets.

The forum seeks to concretize the implementation of major policies and guidelines of the Party Central Committee recently. These include Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW on innovating and perfecting land institutions and policies; Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW on agriculture, farmers, and rural areas until 2030, with a vision to 2045; and Resolution No. 46-NQ/TW (December 20, 2023) on innovating and improving the quality of operations of the Vietnam Farmers' Union.

Concurrently, it affirms the importance of digital transformation, building national agricultural product brands, and developing sustainable markets. This spirit is aligned with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on developing science-technology, innovation, and national digital transformation; along with Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on developing the private economy.

Furthermore, the forum also contributes to the implementation of Resolution No. 70-NQ/TW (August 20, 2025) on ensuring national energy security until 2030, with a vision to 2045, with an orientation towards applying it in the agricultural sector, aiming for zero-emission production, sustainable, green, and clean cultivation and exploitation.
