Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung met with representatives of the US Government, organizations, businesses, investment funds, and major groups during his working visit to the US on July 14-17, to discuss measures to boost cooperation in innovation and technology as well as promote investment in high technology projects in Vietnam.

He held working sessions with representatives from the New York Economic Development Organization (NYCEDC), the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the Financial Services Volunteers Group (FSVC), the Business Council for Promoting International Relations (BCIU), and the KKR Investment Fund.

Addressing the meetings, Minister Dung affirmed that relations between Vietnam and the US are in a fine stage of development, serving as an important foundation to foster cooperation in economics and trade and investment between the two sides.

He said he hopes that Vietnam will attract more projects from US investors with higher quality and added value, helping improve the capacity for Vietnamese businesses to join global value chains.

He emphasized that Vietnamese ministries and agencies will offer support and tackle difficulties and obstacles facing US businesses and continue to adopt measures to further improve its business and investment environment.
