Under a decision signed recently by Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Hung, a consortium of investors was approved for Component Project No. 2 of the provincial airport project.

The T&T Traffic Infrastructure Investment and Development Limited Company and the CIENCO4 Group Joint Stock Company (Hanoi) have been selected to invest in the airport’s terminal (Component Project No. 2)

Component Project No. 2 will be conducted under the public-private partnership (PPP) investment form.

The central province’s airport project covers a total area of more than 265 ha and has investment project estimated at more than VND 5.8 trillion (nearly $240 million).

Quang Tri Airport will be a Level 4C airport, according to the classifications of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and can cater to Code E aircraft, serve 5 million passengers annually, and handle 25,500 tons of cargo.

The project is expected to be completed after two years of construction.
