Khanh Hoa approves two more subdivisions at Van Phong EZ

The Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council has approved planning for two subdivisions in the south-central province’s Van Phong Economic Zone (EZ): the Co Ma - Tu Bong urban and tourism area (Subdivision No. 8), and the Dam Mon Port - Urban Center (Subdivision No. 3).

The Co Ma - Tu Bong urban and tourism area in Van Ninh commune will cover some 6,631 ha and serve industries ranging from trade and research to airports, seaports, and urban and tourism services, while the Dam Mon Port - Urban Center will be developed into an urban, service, eco-tourism and resort, and international port complex on some 8,276 ha.

Khanh Hoa has approved planning for ten out of 19 subdivisions in the Van Phong EZ since July 2023, on a total area of over 53,000 ha.

According to the master plan for the EZ by 2040 with a vision to 2050, which was approved by the Prime Minister, it will be developed into a national sea-based economic center.
