Lam Dong to develop $17.6mln social housing project

The Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee in the central highlands has approved investment in a social housing project in Da Lat city’s Districts 3 and 4.

On an area of 20,950 sq m and expected to cost VND418.4 billion ($17.6 million), the project consists of three buildings with 480 apartments, providing accommodation for 1,450 to 1,900 people.

The province approved investment in another social housing project for workers at the Phu Hoi Industrial Park in Duc Trong district in November. The VND206 billion ($8.7 million) project is expected to accommodate 1,440 people on an area of 17,959 sq m.

Under the Provincial People’s Committee’s Decision No. 3107/QĐ-UBND approving the Plan for Housing Development in Lam Dong Province in the 2021-2025 period, the locality plans to build 1,081,963 sq m of housing for commercial purposes, with 13,523 apartments, and 134,000 sq m of social housing projects.
