The Moca Technology and Services Corporation (Moca) and the Tiki Corporation (Tiki) have announced a partnership that fully leverages the tech capabilities, ecosystem strengths, and user bases of both, aiming to diversify cashless payment options and meet the rising demand for online shopping and digital payments in Vietnam, especially amid Covid-19.
Through this cooperation, which is Moca’s first partnership with a leading e-commerce platform, users of the Moca e-wallet on the Grab app can conduct online payments on the Tiki e-commerce app quickly and conveniently and enjoy more incentives from accumulating GrabRewards and Tiki Xu reward points from each purchase.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Viet Binh, CEO of Moca, said it has recorded impressive growth in cashless payment users during the pandemic, which results from a boom in online shopping and growing concerns among users about safety and minimizing the risk of spreading the disease. “The partnership with Tiki will help Moca better meet these trends, offer users an additional online payment option on one of the leading e-commerce platforms in Vietnam today, and simultaneously develop the Moca e-wallet beyond the Grab ecosystem,” he added.
Mr. Ngo Hoang Gia Khanh, Deputy General Director for Business Development at Tiki, said it is cooperating with Moca to provide 10 million Tiki users with more secure, convenient, smarter, and safer online payment options, especially in the current circumstances. “This strategic partnership will make the most of the two parties’ solid tech platforms to provide the most comprehensive shopping experience to Vietnamese consumers, satisfying the growing demand for cashless payments and thereby actively contributing to promoting Vietnam’s digital economy,” he noted.
Moca already has direct connections with 25 banks and one digital bank in Vietnam, delivering to users a safe, secure, and convenient cashless payment method. Moca e-wallet users can increasingly enjoy more seamless and convenient payment options across a wide variety of services. Not only can consumers use Moca to pay for transportation, food delivery, and grocery shopping, etc. on the Grab app, they can also conduct other transactions on the app such as bill payments, phone top-ups, in-store payments, and online shopping, etc. When using Tiki, shoppers will see Moca as a payment option when checking out, and will be seamlessly directed to their e-wallet to make the payment.
Starting as an e-bookstore, the multi-industry commerce platform Tiki now provides millions of authentic products, two-hour rapid delivery for hundreds of thousands of products, and delivery - installation services under scheduled appointments, with a variety of payment methods and partners.
