The average monthly income of Vietnamese workers in the first six months of the year stood at VND7.5 million ($295), a year-on-year increase of nearly 7.4%, figures from the General Statistics Office (GSO) reveal.
Average monthly incomes of workers in urban is higher than those in rural areas, with VND9.1 million ($357) and VND6.5 million ($255), respectively.
Some 51.4 million workers found jobs during the period, a year-on-year increase of 195,700.
The rate of trained laborers reached 28.1%.
The GSO also reported that unemployment rate among working-age people was 2.27%, equal to the same period last year. The rate in urban area was 2.68% and in rural area 2%.
