The seventh session of the 15th National Assembly (NA) opened in Hanoi on May 20 morning.
One of key tasks of the meeting is personnel work, with the NA Chairperson and then the State President being elected at the session, and this work is expected to be completed on May 22 morning, according to Secretary General of the NA and Chairman of its Office Bui Van Cuong.
The session will be divided into two phases, spanning 26 days. The first phase will last for 17 days from May 20 to June 8. The second will be nine days long from June 17 to June 28.
The deputies will spend two and a half day for the Q&A session.
Legislators will consider and approve 10 draft laws, and three draft resolutions on piloting some specific mechanisms and policies for development in the central province of Nghe An, on piloting a new model of urban administration and specific mechanisms and policies for the central city of Da Nang, and on the 2025 law and ordinance building program, and adjustments to the 2024 program.
They will also opine on 11 draft laws, along with issues regarding socio-economic development, the State budget, supervision and others.
