An international container shipping route directly connecting Cua Lo Port in Vietnam's central Nghe An province and China's Dongguan Port officially opened on September 24.
The route, launched by Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company in partnership with YCKY Shipping Line, is expected to boost trade between Vietnam’s north-central region and China while reducing logistics costs and transit time for businesses.
Under the new service, goods from Nghe An and neighboring provinces can be shipped directly to Dongguan without transiting through other major ports, saving expenses, improving efficiency, and ensuring timely delivery.
This is an important opportunity to promote import and export turnover, especially for agricultural products, seafood, construction materials, and light industry, according to Mr. Bui Kieu Hung, General Director of Nghe Tinh Port Joint Stock Company.
