Businesses form a crucial driving force for the development of north-central Nghe An province, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Trung was quoted by the Voice of Vietnam as saying.
He made the statement while co-chairing a working session on connecting investments between Nghe An and businesses from the US, held in Virginia on November 9.
“The province will therefore create the most favorable conditions for businesses to prosper, which contributes to the economic development of Nghe An in particular and the whole of Vietnam in general,” he said, adding that the province is fully prepared to welcome investors.
“The province wants to lure investors from the US into high technology and semiconductors, based on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the US, and in manufacturing and processing, such as electronics, mechanics, and automotive as well as components and spare parts,” said Head of Nghe An’s Dong Nam Economic Zone, Le Tien Tri.
The Dong Nam Economic Zone Management Board and the Asian American Chamber of Commerce signed an MoU at the working session.
On the same day, the Nghe An delegation held meetings with the US Semiconductor Industry Association and the US-ASEAN Business Council.
