The Nghe An Provincial People’ Committee has issued a decision on supporting domestic and foreign shipping lines transporting container cargo via the north-central province’s Cua Lo Port.
Export and import companies engaged in the transportation of containers to and from Cua Lo Port will also receive support.
The Committee assigned the Southeastern Economic Zone Management Board to deal with administrative procedures to support shipping lines and enterprises.
Earlier, it adopted a resolution on providing financial support for shipping lines and import and export companies using Cua Lo Port.
International container shipping lines unloading and / or loading at Cua Lo Port will receive support of VND300 million ($12,500) per port call.
For domestic container shipping lines unloading and / or loading at Cua Lo Port, excluding temporary imports for re-exports and transit goods, with a minimum frequency of two port calls a month, will receive support of VND100 million ($4,160) per port call.
Meanwhile, businesses engaged in the transportation of exported or imported goods via containers to and from Cua Lo Port will receive support of between VND600,000 ($25) and VND1 million ($42).
The province’s support measures will be in place through 2025.
