North-central Nghe An province has set a target of attracting 100-120 investment projects in 2023 with total registered capital of VND32-35 trillion ($1.35-1.48 billion).
FDI capital is anticipated at $500-600 million.
Investment attraction increased last year both in volume and project quality. As of December 31, 2022, total registered capital and additional capital in the province reached over VND45.7 trillion ($1.93 billion), a year-on-year increase of 3.74 per cent.
2022 also marked the first time the province was listed among the top 10 localities with the largest FDI inflows. Total registered capital and additional capital in FDI projects topped $961.3 million.
At present, 115 FDI projects remain active in the province with total registered capital of over $2.5 billion. Investors are from 14 countries and territories.
