The Open Innovation Day (OID) 2025,  an annual series of in-depth discussions and business networking activities, opened in Ho Chi Minh City on October 25.

The two-day event gathered more than 1,000 local and international participants, including enterprises, research institutes, universities, investment funds, supporting organizations, and promising startups to discuss the future of sustainable development, digital transformation, and global economic integration.

Its goal is to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and commercialization of innovation in Vietnam. The event created a multidimensional connection space where breakthrough ideas meet investors, new business models are tested, and global innovation initiatives are expanded across Vietnam’s business community.

It featured eight expert-led discussion panels, bringing together top policymakers, business leaders, and technology investors from Vietnam and abroad. Discussions focused on critical topics such as strategies and policies for science, technology, and innovation development in Vietnam; the digital technology industry and AI ecosystem; blockchain applications for industry-specific challenges; cloud computing and data center infrastructure; green energy transition; opportunities from new materials; smart manufacturing supply chains; and cross-border e-commerce.

Alongside the panel sessions, the Business Matching program is expected to strengthen collaboration among enterprises, investors, and startups. The program focused on sharing practical challenges and technology-driven solutions in areas such as advanced materials, energy efficiency, smart manufacturing, and automation.
